snapper takes a snapshot of the current viewport and allows you to save it using any of the supported coolpowers3 image formats.  It can be set to automatically crop out the caption bar according to a specified height.

The most useful application of snapper is when you've just done a lengthy render-to-screen and you realize you need to save a copy of it.. You'd either sit and wait while you render to file again, or go off and load up an external screengrabber hoping you wouldn't accidentally press the wrong thing and have trueSpace clear the rendered image.  Now you can just hit snapper and you're done!  Or, say you have a preferences panel open and you want to remember the settings quickly - just take a snapshot of it.
