This simple animation was created as follows: The butterfly object was made (just a couple of polygons, hinged), then a basic repeating animation of the wings - up, center, down, center. Next I animated a circular flying movement, with rotation to make it look like the butterfly really was flying in a circle. Finally, wobbler was used to add the necessary randomness to the flight, before rendering in toon up."
